[She tracks him down to the bunker-slash-hideout and lets herself in, slipping past a few people before she finds Delmar.
Tapping his shoulder gently, she waits for him to turn around before she promptly puts her arms around him, lightly resting her forehead against his chest.]
[Delmar's mouth had instinctively opened to say something but no words come and it closes again. Instead he just returns the hug he so very much needed, closing his eyes and hugging her tight.
For the first time in many days he feels something other than fear and sadness]
[She's over half a foot shorter than him, just enough that the top of her head falls level with his chin. As far as she's concerned, it's a good height.
Julie hugs him for a few moments more, then squeezes her arms around him and pats him on the back lightly.]
[Delmar follows the path of her gaze, taking in the sight of the hide out. The structure is essentially finished, so its secure and sustainable now. But its bare bones, essentially, though Delmar has tried to do things like gather blankets and food that won't go bad]
Well...We could really use anything people have to spare. And also people who can make sure everyone knows there's a safe place to come to. To, um, to spread the word.
[She gets it. Regardless of what Delmar might think about the lack of creature comforts in this hideout, Julie can examine it with the kind of critical eye that could have only come from her father. She hates it, but it's useful sometimes.
Julie gives Delmar a reassuring smile and lightly pats his arm.]
Re: [Audio]
I don't know what to do.
[And he's very tired, they've been working on the bunker for days now and he's had very little sleep or food]

[Her mom would hug her when she felt bad, and it usually worked. Her dad never did, after she died.]

[He tries to smile for her, but it's only a partial success. Still what he manages is genuine.]
I'm sorry that I worried you. But I am very glad that you are safe.
[Delmar sets his hands on her shoulders, reaffirming for himself that she is in one piece and unharmed]

Once he's finished with his assessment, she looks around at the ongoing work with obvious interest.]
Do you need anything down here?

I'll try to help. I'm good at hoarding supplies.

Yes, I'm afraid so. I don't know if we can trust these telephones right now.
[He smiles a little, grateful, when she pats his arm]
That is very generous of you. But I wouldn't want to put you to any trouble. Or have you out there in any more danger.

[There's a grim smile with that, but he already knows how she really feels about it.]
Besides, I have a gun. I'll be fine.

Please be very careful, Julie.

She looks around again, briefly.]
Okay, I'll see what I can find, then I'll be back.
